In assortment of Novattro there is a wide range of sheets from cellular and solid polycarbonate of different thickness and colours.
By application of different coatings on sheets it will be possible to achieve various properties of polycarbonate, such as non-transmission of ultraviolet radiation, prevention of condensate, scratch resistance.
SafPlast Innovative offers sheets of non-standard colours and the sizes that are made to order under individual requirements
The price of individual orders is set on contractual conditions.
Novattro production is the realization of the best characteristics as the initial indicators are considered for its manufacture:
- It is made on the qualitative equipment of OMIPA,
- Only qualitative raw materials are used,
- X-structures for cellular sheets in the thickness of 16, 20, 25, 32 mm are used,
- UV-layer of the thickness of not less than 40 mcm allowing to keep the features of polycarbonate sheet for more than 20 years, is applied on Novattro sheets.
UV-layer is put by various thicknesses depending on a thickness of the sheet. If a thickness of the sheet is 4 mm, a thickness of UV-layer will be 40 mcm, 6 mm — 40 mcm, 8 mm — 40 mcm, 10 mm — 45 mcm, 16 mm — 50 mcm, 20 mm — 50 mcm, 25 mm — 55 mcm, 32 mm — 55 mcm.
- During production the special additives are used — «fire retardants»,
- The best dyes are used. At coloration a high-precision dosage system, which makes possible to dye a sheet evenly, is applied.
As well as in any sphere, polycarbonate sheets may be different not only under the technical and functional characteristics, but also by quality level and the level of consumer properties may be different relatively.
Specifically almost everything depends on such basic indicators as the following:
- Raw materials,
- Structure of the sheets (cellular sheets),
- Special coatings,
- Specific additives,
- Dyes.
Let?s find out what the secret is of various quality levels of polycarbonate sheets, including Novattro products. It is necessary for us not to regret after three years or even at all half a year that we?ve purchased really «cheap» goods. The important things are raw materials, structure, special coatings, additives and dyes, as well as production equipment and storage conditions for raw materials and finished goods. It much depends on technological process.
Raw materials
The main raw material for polycarbonate sheets production is granules of polycarbonate. At manufacturing some producers use the secondary raw materials. In this case the production costs are reduced, but at the same time the consumers? properties of polycarbonate sheets are decreased too. The quality of finished goods — a polycarbonate sheet depends on type of raw materials.
Structures of the sheets
Cellular sheets structures may be various. Physical and mechanical characteristics of the sheets depend on its structures. There are so called H-structures, X-structures, and other types of structures which differ from these two types not substantially.
H-structures and X-structures vary essentially.
So, X-structures, used in the thicknesses of 16, 20, 25 and 32 mm in comparison with similar thicknesses but with H-structures, possess high thermal resistance.
X-structures in comparison with H-structures of similar thicknesses have better noise insulating properties, whereas inclined walls that go from one exterior wall to other, act as a waveguide.
Substantial increase of rigidity characterizes X-structure sheets as compared with H-structures. It?s amazing but X-structures provide extra 25% of rigidity!
Special coverings
Qualitative polycarbonate sheet made of qualitative raw materials with «correct» structure nevertheless should be processed additionally because it is subject to environment influence: solar radiation exposure, temperature drops and humidity, precipitations — rain, snow, hail. So called UV-layer which absorbs light in ultra-violet range is put for protection of the sheets from solar radiation exposure. Thus this layer protects a material from decomposition. UV-layer of a various thickness is applied. Actual term during which the sheet has proof physical and mechanical and optical properties depends on the thickness of a UV-layer and how it is distributed on a sheet surface.
Specific additives
To improve fire resistance of polycarbonate sheets some manufacturers add the special additives so called «fire retardants».
Dyes
Dyes may be of different quality. Quality of finished sheet — uniformity of colour distribution through all area and colour retention (burning out degree) to solar radiation influence during operation life — depends on what dyes are used. It is necessary to notice especially the requirement to colour retention from lot to lot that is reached by usage of the high-precision test equipment and quality of technological process.
